The first "Little Town, Big Story" Advent Reflection was by Jo Trickey. Here is a short summary.

Bethlehem, literally "the house of bread", is a small town, shaped by the tumultous events of its history, by enemy occcupation and great pain. Bethlehem is a place of arrival, after long journeys: Mary and Joseph, the Shepherds and the Magi arrive at this place and here we have the greatest arrival in history. God with us. 

It is shaped most of all by the most famous resident, Jesus Christ, who called himself "the bread of life" who came to truly satisfy our hunger.
